from 370 reviewsThis knife is chonky and sturdy, and is comfortable and secure in my smaller than average hands, which many large knives are not. Blade is sharp and feels like it will be durable and practical for my utilitarian needs. The only thing i haven't worked out yet is it seems to have a very precise sweet spot getting it all the way back in the case to where it snaps into place securely. I’m hoping it just needs to be broken in with use, or maybe there’s a trick I haven’t yet learned.
I use mostly fountain pens, and this paper gives a really pleasant writing experience.
Smooth and very fountain pen friendly. Fairly light weight yet doesn’t bleed thru or even ghost. I have used everything from F to stub nibs, and inks that were wet and/or pigmented, as well as non pigmented, with no problems.
What a wonderful invention and it works great, writes instantly (unlike my Waterman Phineas which takes a beat to start working).
Great pen and the customer service from Penchetta is the best. thank you.
Too much fun. Say what you will of playing with knives, but this is a great fidget toy. As an actual utility knife, it's functional. But with added bonuses of fun, cool, and unique. Highly recommend!
I wanted to try a medium nib on the Vanishing Point, but none were inked. But my salesman had one of his own and let me try that. That's great customer service.
Great buy at a great value and fast shipping. Thank you.
Love the deep color, matte finish, beautiful contrast between barrel and metal parts. Great feel and weight, luminates quality. Feels comfort in handling. Love the magnetic detail with cover.
While not my first SCARAB, this third generation just goes to show how Microtech continues toseparate itself from the competition! My first SCARAB was a 2005 model, and back then, the firing lever was difficult and not very tactile. While it was slopped, the scallop cuts were very fine, and very easy to slip from. It was noticeably smaller as well. Microtech took keep features from the Navy SCARAB and implemented them into these models; a totally brilliant move! As former military, I do appreciate these details that help minimize weight, but also ensure proper deployment, no matter the situation. Cleaning is simpler and for most cases, does not require any disassembly, but Microtech used T10 screws in order to give the user the ability to service the unit without having to send it in! If you want the best of the best, then don't hesitate! You will not regret it!
I bought a Kaweco Sport, extra ink and Rhodia notepads to start my journey with fountain pens. I have never owned a fountain pen previously. I love my Sport and look forward to purchasing more expensive pens as my knowledge increases. The staff at Penchetta was incredibly helpful, patient and informative. The store was immaculate and inviting. They have absolutely EARNED my future business.
We spoke with Lance and were treated to an education in William Henry craftsmanship. I’m not a collector (yet) so his guidance was very much appreciated. Many of the items that Penchetta carries blur the line between craft and art. We’ll be back.
My First Vintage Fountain Pen! Beautiful!
The sales associate was super helpful and demonstrated a number of vintage pens. I was captivated by this one’s green design and bought it. I’ve been very happy with the quality and it’s definitely converted me to a vintage pen lover.
beautiful knife. Easy to use and looks fantastic.
